Lapo Miccinesi was in Iran from March 1st to March 11th in the framework of the formal agreement between the Department of Information Engineer, University of Florence, and Zamin Sanjesh Rayan (GeoRAYAN), Teheran, Iran. The travel was partially founded by the travel found of XXXII cycle of PhD course in Information Engineering. During this period, Lapo Miccinesi was responsible of the scientific equipment (Interferometric Radar) and of some of measurement setup.
The aim of this travel was to test some Iranian infrastructure, i.e. towers and bridges. The main tests were on railway bridges in the North of Iran. The bridges were tested with some dynamic load (passenger trains, locomotives). Some of these measurements were presented to be published on scientific publications. These publications are under reviewing.
