Due to their unique characteristics, in terms of mobility patterns, high dynamic topologies and traffic-related applications, Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are attracting the attention of both academia and industry. In this Course, we provide an overview of the main aspects of VANETs from a research perspective, by characterizing the networks architectures and standards, and giving an overview on applications trend.
